What's the Big Deal About Essential Oils Anyway?!
I think we all have seen post after post about essential oils- and many of you may be wondering what all the fuss is about. Let me just say that I used to be a skeptic of essential oils. I was afraid they were just the latest craze or fad. I mean, natural wellness is a hippie thing right?? HA! Boy.was.I.wrong.
If I could go back a few years and tell my pre-essential oil self anything it would be this- YOU NEED THESE OILS IN YOUR LIFE!
What is an essential oil?
Essential oils are basically highly concentrated plants. You can use that concentrated awesomeness to help support your overall wellness from emotions, to immunity, to toxic free household items. The possibilities are endless. What's your goal?
What do you mean this isn't a fad?!
Before I started using Young Living essential oils, I assumed that eo's were a new thing. But then I was introduced to a little thing I like to call... history. History proves to us that essential oils were used way back in Egyptian times. But Egyptians weren't the only ones to use essential oils- they are referenced in the Bible many times. In fact, the Bible says, "Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for medicine." Ezekiel 47:12. Cool, right?!
Are all essential oils created equal?
In short... heck no. We all know water offers great health benefits right? But would you go to the back pond to drink some? I would assume not. The same goes for essential oils. You can purchase them almost anywhere, but that doesn't mean the quality and wellness benefits are the same. In fact, some very poor quality essential oils can be laced with chemicals and can be very toxic to your health. I spent many, many nights researching essential oils and the companies that sell them.
